Behind the kitchen near the herb spiral, this garden was started during the implementation week after the May 2012 PDC course.

Paths and keyholes were dug and the sods placed on the beds. The centre path was levelled and the keyholes made to slope down away from it to distribute excess water to the beds. The whole was sheet mulched with cardboard. Wood chips fill the paths. The beds were covered with manure and leaves. The first year, we stuck bedding plants through the cardboard, and … they grew!
