Mahone Bay Area Farmers Market Tuesdays 10-2 at Blockhouse
NOTE: THE MARKET IS TAKING A BREAK FOR 2015. FOR MORE INFORMATION SEE:
The Mahone Bay and Area Farmers’ Market website.
Lots of parking. Please support local farmers AND The Blockhouse School by shopping at the Market on Tuesdays during the summer and fall.
If it’s raining hard, the vendors move into the gym.
The Mahone Bay Area Farmers’ Market will be building an exciting new partnership at the Blockhouse School. Weekly support for this new venture will help us look at other ways we can offer good, clean, seasonal food offering plus other compatible events during Market Days.
Our current offerings from our core vendors include grassfed meats from Kevin Veinotte, pasture raised meats, poultry products and vegetables from Ralph & Reuben Corkum, fresh produce and eggs from Dave Lahey and Ashwood Ridge Farms, Local award winning wines from Petite Riviere, Beeswax candles and body care products from Medway Candle, Gourmet and Seasonal Condiments & Herbal Vinegars from Ma Bell’s Country Condiments, Early Annual Transplants and Herbs from Fitch Lake Farm (strawberries when in season), Baked goods and breads from Bernadette Veinot, Swiss Style Bakery items, eggs and garlic (in season) Bea Schuler, Gourmet Artisan Crackers from Peter Hardy, Baker extraordinaire Sandra Sabourin, fibre artist Felicia Knock, and thematic paintings by local artist Anne Cameron.
In addition we are joined by the ever popular Ross and Rita with the Airstream Cafe — serving light meals, fair trade coffee, cold drinks and great conversation under their big tent.
We are also joined by local community non-profit groups and day vendors throughout the season. We will have Wild Blueberries in August! Help us grow and become a part of your weekly shopping experience from late May to Thanksgiving. We have lots of tips and advice and are always happy to suggest how to make your food experience fun and easy. Get to know us while you also find out more about what is happening at the Blockhouse School Project.
